Wetlands NEED YOUR HELP – Protect and Preserve Our Wetlands
February 2, 2026, is World Wetlands Day.

Land with water, gives life. Now that’s something to celebrate and to TAKE ACTION to PROTECT. Wetlands are vital to our well being and way of life, in all their shapes and sizes. All wetlands, from temporary and seasonal ones that last just a few weeks in the spring and early summer, to more permanent waterbodies that maintain water all year long, wetlands provide vital ecosystem services. From helping mitigate the impacts of drought by slowly releasing the water they’ve stored back into surrounding areas, to providing wildlife habitat important for waterfowl and other species including key pollinators – wetlands provide us one of nature’s solutions to a healthy and productive landscape and community.
